On the home page, tap on the Google Lens icon. Please note that there’s no standalone Google Lens app for iOS. Download the Google app from the App Store and open it. Translate Text with Google Lens on iPhoneįollow the steps below to translate text from an image or photo you took using Google Lens on an iPhone. There’s an option to manually select the languages to translate from and to. Google auto-detects the language and translates it to the select language. Alternatively, tap the camera icon to take a live image of the text you want translated. Tap on the image icon to upload an image with the text you want to translate. Swipe the options at the bottom of the screen to “Translate.”. Download the Google Lens app from the Play Store and launch it. You can follow the steps below to do this. To get the best translation results for your images:
Download the language(s) that you’d like your translation in.Īfter the download is complete, camera translations will work for the downloaded language(s) even when you're disconnected from the Internet. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Translate app. To use camera translations offline, download the languages that you want to translate. Search: To search translated text on Google, tap Search. Send to Translate Home: To get more information, tap Send to Translate Home. Listen: To get Translate to read your translated text, tap Listen. Copy text: To copy the text, select the text that you’d like to copy and tap Copy text. At the bottom, choose an option from the carousel:. Select the part of the text on which you want to take action. Once the text in an image is translated, you can do things like copy the text, get it read aloud, or send it to Translate Home for more information.
